We have had a wonderful relationship with Mandy for a long time, and are very proud to be the only retail store that carries her Cacao Perfume and Chocolate Saffron Body Oil. This is a special opportunity to meet Mandy in person. Though she is very active online and on social media, Mandy is making very few public appearances so please take advantage of this special visit!FRAGRANT KIT

In addition to the Aftelier Perfumes items we normally have (cacao perfume, chocolate saffron body oil, cacao absolute, and chef’s essence kits for the chocolatier) Mandy will be bringing the Fragrant Companion Kits which are a really cool way to meet the 5 main characters in the book: Ambergris, Cinnamon, Spearmint, Jasmine, and Frankincense. These kits will only be available while Mandy is visiting…

Holidays at Cacao

And suddenly the holidays are upon us…

Happy Holidays!!

and Venezuelan makers Cacao de Origen and Franceschi!).   The season is off to a great start!

Thanks to everyone who came to our anniversary party!!  We had an amazing time.  So many wonderful people came out to support us.  It really was touching to see.  We value the community of producers and consumers around us so much and think of each of you with much gratitude.

Summer is holding on a little bit longer and we are now serving

Arbequina Olive Oil ice cream from Salt & Straw at our 13th Ave location. It is a truly remarkable ice cream and one of the best we have ever tasted.

We are proud to be the first establishment in Portland to scoop Salt & Straw outside of their stores!

The olive oil pairs perfectly with all of our drinking chocolates to make a decadent drinking chocolate pour-over.

The warm, rich chocolate combining with the cool, fruity, lightly salted olive oil is transcendent.

Local chocolate wizard Sebastian Cisneros at Cocanú introduces Craque; a simple yet genius and totally addicting new treat in the form of candied cacao nibs. The satisfying crunch and perfect level of sweetness make for ideal snack or as a topping for ice cream, salads, roasted veggies, or really anything you can think of. As a customer said today when tasting “It’s the bacon of chocolate. I don’t really even like chocolate that much and I can’t stop eating these.”

I think we may have a problem on our hands.



Rogue Balao is back! This is another strong example of Rogue’s control and careful craftsmanship.
